Job summary

International Game Technology (IGT) is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to provide on-site support for gaming systems and equipment in the Sydney region. The role focuses on timely technical assistance, preventive maintenance, and customer-facing service, ensuring reliable operation of hardware and software platforms.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years in a customer-facing technical role, strong knowledge of policies, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Vocational, Technical, or Business School preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain jurisdictional license(s), as required.
• 5-8 years’ technician experience in a customer facing role.
• Strong knowledge of current internal / external company policies, procedures, and expectations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
• Understanding of hardware, software, game/kiosk platforms, and networking solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely technical support to customers on system equipment.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis on equipment.
• Serve as customer contact on technical and service issues.
• Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.
• Set daily objectives for site installations, maintenance, and customer support.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Conduct site surveys for new orders.
• Maintain accurate inventory and accounting of all parts used at locations.
• Complete all required reporting and paperwork promptly.
• Support other Field Service Technicians as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
