Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Sydney CBD is seeking a Senior Facilities Engineer to provide engineering support for facilities and infrastructure, developing and implementing maintenance procedures for electrical and mechanical systems to ensure uptime and business continuity.

You will lead preventive maintenance, monitor alarms, manage project scheduling and budgets, and liaise with vendors. A ten-year track record in electrical engineering and strong analytical, financial, and communication skills are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of ten years related industry experience.
• A valid driver’s license with a good driving record for applicable vehicles, without restrictions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to prepare opex and Capex budgets. Conducts basic financial analysis.
• Ability to comprehend, analyse, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.
• Must possess a thorough knowledge of the use, setup and operation of Windows-based computers and desktop applications such as MS-Word and MS-Excel.
• Must be familiar with the design and specification of new equipment, including electrical distribution systems, motors, variable frequency drives, controls, lighting, electrical auxiliaries, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive maintenance of equipment’s as per OEM/recommended schedules.
• Maintains records for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Conducts life cycle analysis for all the M&E set up at the site.
• Attends to issues related to Aircons and temperature controls in office premises.
• Assists with project scheduling and helps to monitor project budget and timeline.
• Recommends safety improvements and adheres to all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to power, energy and infrastructure projects.
• Monitors fire alarm and general facility electrical systems.
• Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• To be back up to the FM when he/she is on leave/vacation. Supervise FM operations, liase with vendors, LL. Provide timely updates to employees and stakeholders.
