Job summary

Iluka Resources is seeking a senior leader to set and deliver the strategic direction of Balranald extraction operations. You will ensure ore delivery specs are met, drills are effectively utilised, and recovery targets are achieved.

The role requires autonomy, critical thinking and decision-making at a senior level, with responsibility for planning, scheduling and executing extraction activities and managing vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Well-rounded operational leader with experience delivering safe and productive outcomes in mining, resources, or heavy industrial environments.
• Proven ability to lead through others, building capability, accountability, and high-performing teams.
• Exposure/experience in managing mining, fabrication, engineering or operational vendors and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and track mineral extraction operations.
• Ensure optimal utilization of drills, mud plant, fixed surface support plant, drilling and pipe workshops.
• Manage underground mining extraction operations contingent with contracts and best practice.
• Ensure maximum reserve recovery through standard operations and efficient techniques.
• Deploy infrastructure and resources effectively through stakeholder consultation.
