Job summary

INPEX Australia is seeking a Senior Environmental Approvals Advisor to join our HSE team in Perth on a 3-year fixed-term contract. You will lead environmental approvals activities, liaise with regulators, and support project teams as part of our growing low-carbon portfolio.

This role offers the chance to contribute to nationally significant CCS projects, collaborate with experienced specialists, and enhance your expertise across complex, high-profile initiatives in a supportive, safety-focused

Qualifications

• A qualification in environmental science, environmental management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience with environmental approvals, regulatory processes or environmental planning.
• An understanding of environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Effective communication, problem-solving and project coordination capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver environmental approvals aligned to project schedules.
• Develop approval strategies, applications and supporting documentation.
• Build productive relationships with Commonwealth and Northern Territory regulators.
• Partner with project teams to identify approval requirements and risks.
• Provide advice on environmental legislation and regulatory obligations.
• Manage consultants and specialist contractors supporting approvals activities.
• Monitor approval progress, budgets and key milestones.
• Contribute to long-term planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
