Job summary

INPEX Australia in Perth is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to oversee the CCS/BCCS project. You will drive end-to-end system engineering for CO2 transport, injection, and storage, ensuring integration across topsides, subsea, wells, and third-party interfaces.

You will lead technical assurance activities, manage interfaces, and support procurement and contractor management through design reviews and risk assessments, through FEED and execution phases.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, or CCS.
• Proven experience defining and managing complex system architectures.
• Strong background in process safety studies, including HAZOP and LOPA.
• Knowledge of CO2 transportation, processing, and storage systems.
• Solid understanding of ICSS architecture, safeguarding and integration across topsides, subsea and wells.
• Experience in requirements management, interface management, and verification across multi-contractor projects.
• Familiar with early-phase project development and FEED execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering activities for the CCS/BCCS project, ensuring an integrated, operable end-to-end CO2 transport, injection, and storage system.
• Define and maintain system architecture, control philosophy, and ICSS integration across topsides, subsea, wells, and third-party interfaces.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, configuration control, and delivery assurance through design reviews and change management.
• Manage interfaces and stakeholder alignment, coordinating contractors, vendors, and operations teams to resolve cross-functional challenges.
• Support procurement and contractor management through technical scopes, bid evaluations, and vendor reviews.
• Drive technical assurance and risk management through HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, RAM, operability reviews and technology qualification.
• Oversee flow assurance and process engineering to ensure consistent design basis across the CCS value chain.
• Review and approve key technical documentation ensuring alignment with project requirements and regulatory obligations.
