Job summary

AECOM’s environmental practice seeks an environmental professional to join the Perth IAP team, contributing to environmental impact assessments, approvals and management for major projects. We welcome professionals at Professional, Senior or Principal level, with role scope aligned to experience.

You will work on energy, transport, mining and defence projects, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, manage risks, and engage with regulators and clients to deliver timely outcomes.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in environmental impact assessment, environmental approvals, environmental planning or related area.
• Knowledge of WA State and/or Commonwealth environmental assessment and approvals processes.
• Experience preparing clear, accurate environmental reports and approval documentation.
• Experience contributing to or managing projects within consulting/government/industry environment.
• Strong communication skills for client, regulator and stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborative approach with sound judgement and delivery focus.
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in environmental science/management/planning.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate environmental impact assessments, approval docs and management plans.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to identify environmental risks and embed considerations in planning.
• Engage with clients, regulators and stakeholders for clear, practical project outcomes.
• Coordinate project activities including resources, programmes, budgets and deliverables.
• Contribute to proposals, client relationships and practice growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Perth and AECOM’s environmental practice in ANZ.
• At senior levels, provide technical review, leadership and mentoring.
