Job summary

Service Stream is looking for a Senior Employee Data Officer to join our Transactional Services team in Melbourne. The role focuses on maintaining data integrity across the employee lifecycle, with emphasis on HR administration, data governance, and stakeholder engagement.

You will work in a hybrid setup (3 days in the office, 2 days from home) supporting employees, managers, Payroll, and People & Experience teams while mentoring junior staff and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in employee data management, HR administration, payroll operations, or similar
• Strong knowledge of employee lifecycle processes and employment data management
• Experience interpreting Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and legislative requirements

Responsibilities

• Process and quality-check employee data transactions across the full employee lifecycle
• Ensure employee records are maintained accurately, compliantly, and within agreed service levels
• Act as an escalation point for complex employee data and HR administration queries
• Provide support to employees, managers, Payroll, People & Experience, and operational stakeholders
• Assist in managing ServiceNow ticket queues and workload prioritisation
• Mentor and support Employee Data Officers through on-the-job coaching and knowledge sharing
• Maintain strong data governance practices, documentation standards, and audit readiness
• Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and service delivery
• Support the achievement of team SLAs and operational objectives
