Job summary

UGL – Projects-Major Projects seeks a Senior Project Engineer – Electrical to lead electrical packages on hyperscale data centre developments. You will own design through commissioning, coordinating HV/LV distribution, UPS systems and switchgear while managing subcontractors and key client interfaces.

You will report to the MEP Construction Manager and drive safety, quality and programme outcomes across complex multi-disciplinary interfaces, ensuring successful handover and ongoing client

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience leading electrical delivery on data centre, healthcare, defence, or complex commercial building projects.
• Strong understanding of HV/LV distribution, UPS, generators and switchgear.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of electrical services packages from design through handover.
• Coordinate electrical subcontractors to meet safety, quality, cost and programme objectives.
• Drive technical coordination of HV/LV systems, generators, UPS and switchboards.
• Coordinate interfaces across mechanical, electrical, controls, ICT, BMS, fire and commissioning disciplines.
• Review designs for constructability and mitigate project risks.
• Monitor performance and contribute to schedule, cost, quality and reporting outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders.
