Job summary

Genus is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to join our Perth team and deliver detailed, commercially competitive estimates for major electrical and infrastructure projects across Australia. You will work with project management, engineering, procurement and subcontractors to develop tenders from scope through submission.

The role requires strong electrical estimating experience in construction/infrastructure or energy sectors, with ability to interpret drawings and develop comprehensive cost

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates and tender submissions.
• Develop first principles estimates across labour, materials, plant and subcontractors.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes and project requirements.
• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor pricing.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, pricing schedules and tender documentation.
• Identify project risks, assumptions, exclusions and commercial opportunities.
• Work with Project Managers, Engineers and the Pre Contracts team.
• Support tender reviews, value engineering and commercial analysis.
• Manage multiple tenders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join our Perth team and play a key role in preparing and delivering major electrical and infrastructure tenders. The successful candidate will have strong experience in electrical estimating, with a background in electrical construction, infrastructure or the energy sector.

Working within the Estimating and Pre Contracts team, you will be responsible for developing detailed, accurate and commercially competitive estimates across a range of major electrical and infrastructure projects.

You will work closely with project management, engineering, procurement, subcontractors and suppliers to develop tenders from initial scope through to submission.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing detailed electrical estimates and tender submissions
• Developing first principles estimates across labour, materials, plant and subcontractors
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, scopes and project requirements
• Obtaining and assessing supplier and subcontractor pricing
• Preparing detailed cost breakdowns, pricing schedules and tender documentation
• Identifying project risks, assumptions, exclusions and commercial opportunities
• Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and the broader Pre Contracts team
