Job summary

Genus Plus Group is seeking an Electrical Estimator in Perth to prepare detailed electrical and instrumentation estimates for industrial, utilities and infrastructure projects. You will lead tender activity, engage subcontractors, assess risks, and submit proposals while identifying growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years experience in Electrical Estimating.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and industrial construction environments.
• Experience with estimating software (WINEST).
• Tertiary qualifications in Leadership, Management, Project Management, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
• Demonstrated business development or client-facing experience.
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability.
• Confidence presenting to clients and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders under tight deadlines.
• High attention to detail with safety and quality awareness.
• Australian Work Rights.

• Represent Genus at client meetings, pre-tender briefings, and industry events.
• Provide commercial insight to support long-term pipeline and market strategy.

We are seeking an Electrical Estimator who brings strong technical expertise along with a proactive, commercially minded approach. This role goes beyond traditional estimating. You will operate at the intersection of technical delivery and commercial strategy, preparing competitive tenders while contributing to the identification of new opportunities and strengthening client partnerships.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in securing major electrical and HV infrastructure projects and supporting the ongoing growth of the business.

What You will Be Doing

• Prepare accurate, detailed electrical and instrumentation estimates across industrial, utilities, and infrastructure projects
• Lead the full tender lifecycle, including take‑offs, cost build‑ups, subcontractor engagement, risk analysis, and submission

What You’ll Bring

• 5–10+ years’ experience in Electrical Estimating (senior‑level experience highly regarded)
• Strong knowledge of electrical and industrial construction environments (utilities, power, mining, energy, infrastructure)
• Experience with estimating software (WINEST highly regarded)
• Tertiary qualifications in Leadership, Management, Project Management, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or Quantity Surveying
• Demonstrated business development or client‑facing experience within electrical or industrial contracting
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability
• Confidence presenting to clients and senior stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple tenders under tight deadlines
• High attention to detail with an uncompromising commitment to safety and quality
