Job summary

Genus Plus Group is seeking an Electrical Estimator in Perth to prepare detailed electrical and instrumentation estimates for industrial, utilities and infrastructure projects. You will lead tender activity, engage subcontractors, assess risks, and submit proposals while identifying growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years experience in Electrical Estimating.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and industrial construction environments.
• Experience with estimating software (WINEST).
• Tertiary qualifications in Leadership, Management, Project Management, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
• Demonstrated business development or client-facing experience.
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability.
• Confidence presenting to clients and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders under tight deadlines.
• High attention to detail with safety and quality awareness.
• Australian Work Rights.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, detailed electrical and instrumentation estimates across industrial, utilities, and infrastructure projects.
• Lead the full tender lifecycle, including take-offs, cost build-ups, subcontractor engagement, risk analysis, and submission.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat and negotiated work.
• Review drawings and specifications to determine scope, risks, and pricing strategies.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and senior leadership through bid and handover phases.
• Represent Genus at client meetings, pre-tender briefings, and industry events.
• Provide commercial insight to support long-term pipeline and market strategy.
