Job summary

Chandler Macleod is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support detailed engineering design of substation packages, across HV/LV systems, in Perth CBD on a 12+ month contract. You will contribute to reliable electrical infrastructure for major operations and join a high-performing projects team.

Responsibilities include detailed design for substations, wiring and protection integration, and contributing to design standards. The role offers weekly pay and EAP support.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in detailed design engineering.
• Exposure to electrical wiring databases.
• Strong knowledge and application of Australian Electrical Standards.
• Ability to balance technical delivery with commercial outcomes.
• Confident decision-making, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
• High-level written and verbal communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Office.

• Provide technical input into selection/specification of HV & LV systems.
• Establish and maintain technical design standards.
• Integrate HV/LV and protection systems into a fully functional solution.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support detailed engineering design of substation packages, working across HV/LV systems and interfaces to ensure safe, reliable and cost-effective outcomes.

• Contract: 12+ months (with long-term project pipeline)
• Location: Perth CBD
• Roster: 5:2

Key Responsibilities

• Detailed engineering design for substations and switchrooms
• Provide technical input into selection/specification of HV & LV systems
