Job summary
RACV Commercial Energy Solutions is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to develop compliant and commercially viable designs for solar, BESS, and EV charging projects in the sub-5MW market. You will lead technical deliverables and ensure delivery-ready handovers across pre-sale and delivery phases.
You will provide expert guidance on system architecture, grid-connection requirements, and risk management, overseeing DNSP applications and collaborating with Sales, Estimation, and Project Delivery
Qualifications
- Significant experience in electrical engineering within renewable energy, commercial solar, BESS, or related infrastructure sectors.
- Experience delivering technical designs, managing DNSP connection processes, and coordinating with OEMs, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Deep expertise in PV, BESS, and EV charging system design, including grid-connection requirements and protection settings.
- Proven ability to manage DNSP applications and navigate regulatory and standards-based requirements.
- Ability to travel across Victoria and interstate.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior technical leadership on design decisions—equipment selection, system integration, constructability, constraints.
- Represent RACV CES in pre-sale engagements, articulating feasibility to customers.
- Oversee quality of engineering deliverables—drawings, calculations, specifications—and mentor junior engineers.
- Identify and manage technical risks early—grid constraints, protection settings, fault levels.
