Home Trades Hub Australia Pty Limited (RACV Commercial Energy Solutions) in Noble Park, VIC is seeking a Senior Manager - Estimation & Engineering to lead the Estimation and Engineering functions across commercial solar, BESS and EV charging projects. You will align design, pricing and delivery strategy with Sales and Project Delivery to win work and ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ leadership experience across estimation, engineering, technical pre-sales or a related function.
• Experience within renewable energy, construction or complex infrastructure.
• A tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV, BESS, EV charging and grid connection requirements.
• Commercial acumen, including financial modelling, project costing and margin management.
• Experience managing vendors, OEMs and subcontractors.
• Strong stakeholder and customer-facing skills.
• The ability to confidently lead complex technical and commercial discussions.
• Flexibility to travel across Victoria and interstate as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project estimates, financial models and cost reviews to support competitive pricing and margin targets.
• Lead preliminary designs and engineering outcomes across solar PV, BESS and EV charging projects.
• Manage key vendor, OEM and subcontractor relationships, including pricing and commercial negotiations.
• Partner with Sales and Project Delivery to ensure clear project scopes and smooth handovers from bid through to mobilisation.
• Provide senior technical input during customer workshops, site assessments, design reviews and bid presentations.
• Drive technical governance, quality, compliance and continuous improvement across the function.
• Build a high-performing, accountable and customer-focused team.

The Senior Manager - Estimation & Engineering is a key leadership role within RACV Commercial Energy Solutions, leading the Estimation and Engineering functions across commercial solar, BESS and EV charging projects.

You’ll bring together commercial and technical expertise to ensure projects are accurately estimated, well designed and positioned for successful delivery. Working closely with Sales and Project Delivery, you’ll lead a high-performing team and help shape competitive, technically robust solutions for customers.

Experience required

• You’ll be an experienced technical leader with a strong understanding of both the commercial and engineering considerations behind renewable energy projects.
• 5+ years’ leadership experience across estimation, engineering, technical pre-sales or a related function
