Job summary

Connexus is seeking an Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineer to lead practical electrification projects in Sydney. You'll design EV charging infrastructure, specify PV systems (rooftop and ground-mount), and integrate BESS within commercial, industrial, educational, and residential buildings.

The role focuses on decarbonisation, replacing gas boilers with electric heating, and delivering measurable energy savings through NABERS-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree and eligibility for Chartered status or equivalent Australian registration.
• Proven track record designing solar PV and electrical systems to AS/NZS 3000 and 4777.
• Hands-on experience with NABERS, energy audits or building-optimisation projects with measured savings.
• Ability to produce clear, defensible calculations and reports for clients and contractors.
• Previous experience or knowledge of BESS and EV infrastructure.
• Comfortable in a client facing role.

• EV Charger Infrastructure — Designing and delivering EV charging solutions within commercial, industrial, educational and residential buildings.
• Electrification & Decarbonisation — leading the switch from gas boilers to electric heating systems in buildings.
• PV Systems — Both roof-mount and ground-mount solar installations.
• BESS for the Built Environment — Designing and Integrating Battery energy storage systems into buildings.
• Back-up Generation & Load Management — Generation and load management systems for building resilience.
