Job summary

Mott MacDonald invites applications for a Senior Electrical Engineer in Queensland. You will join a high-performing team delivering electrical design across energy, transport and infrastructure projects with a strong portfolio in renewable energy, substations and grid connections.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces and contribute to testing, commissioning and risk management while advancing the energy transition and transport networks in Australia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and registration or eligibility for CPEng/RPEQ.
• Post-graduate experience in electrical engineering, consulting preferred.
• Knowledge of power system design, protection, switchgear, and grounding.
• Experience delivering projects through concept to commissioning.
• Familiarity with Australian standards and National Electricity Market.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design across medium/high voltage networks and substations.
• Provide technical leadership and coordinate interfaces with civil, structural, rail and digital teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and develop team capability.
• Support client relationships with clear, professional communication.
• Contribute to testing, energisation and commissioning activities.
