Job summary

IREN in Sydney, Australia seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, review and deliver electrical systems for large-scale, renewable-powered data centres. Work is hybrid with the Engineering Manager oversight and cross-functional collaboration across capital projects and operations.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, have 10+ years in relevant sectors, and are familiar with AS/NZS standards, NCC, and protection coordination.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree required.
• RPEQ or CPEng status is highly regarded or progress toward registration.
• 10+ years in electrical engineering for data centres or similar.
• Experience with HV power distribution and related systems.
• Knowledge of Australian standards (AS/NZS) and NCC.

Responsibilities

• Design, review and deliver electrical systems for IREN’s data centres.
• Ensure compliance with Australian standards and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering Manager and project teams across capital and operational initiatives.
• Oversee commissioning, FAT/SAT and handover to operations.
