Job summary

Arup is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Sydney team, specialising in data centre projects. You will deliver electrical designs, power distribution, lighting, earthing, and communications systems for high-profile facilities across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

This role requires strong consultancy experience, coordination with clients and stakeholders, and the ability to drive detailed design and documentation in line with standards.

Qualifications

• Recognised tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Solid experience in electrical engineering within a consulting environment, ideally with exposure to data centre or mission‑critical facilities.
• Strong technical capability in the design and delivery of complex electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical designs for data centre projects, including power distribution, lighting, earthing, and communications systems.
• Undertake detailed design, coordination, and documentation in line with relevant standards and client requirements.
• Support project leaders in managing scope, programme, quality, and technical risk.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders, contributing to technical discussions and design development.
• Apply innovative and sustainable design thinking to support reliable, efficient, and future-ready data centre solutions.
