Job summary

IREN is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary engineering function that underpins the design, delivery and operational performance of our large-scale, renewable-powered data centres in Australia.

You will guide senior engineers across electrical, mechanical, civil/structural, controls and commissioning, align with regulatory standards, manage EPC contractors, and mentor teams in a hybrid Sydney-based setting with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• Chartered Professional Engineer or eligibility within timeframe.
• 15+ years in engineering with leadership of multidisciplinary teams on large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic technical leadership across electrical, mechanical, civil/structural, controls, and commissioning functions.
• Directly manage a multidisciplinary team of senior engineers and leads.
• Governance of all engineering deliverables and technical submissions.
• Lead cross-discipline coordination and ensure design integrity and constructability.
• Maintain engineering standards aligned with Australian regulatory environment.
• Mentor and develop engineering staff; manage risks and reporting to executives.
