Job summary

L3Harris IMSA in Fremantle, WA, seeks an experienced Senior Specialist, Environment Health & Safety to build and maintain a positive safety culture across IMSA sites. You will manage EHS responsibilities for L3Harris IMSA and its facilities, ensuring compliance with AS 4801/ISO 45001 and WHS legislation.

The role demands strong communication and stakeholder management, the ability to hold an Australian Defence Clearance NV1, and leading audits, incident investigations and training to drive

Qualifications

• Formal OHS/EHS qualifications/degree and/or significant practical experience in WHS (6+ years).
• Excellent understanding of WHS legislation for all States where facilities are located.
• Demonstrated communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to hold and maintain an Australian Defence Clearance to a NV1 level.

Responsibilities

• Actively promote a positive safety culture across all IMSA sites.
• Project manage IMSA EHS responsibilities and communicate roles to employees.
• Develop and maintain EHS management system in line with AS 4801/ ISO 45001.
• Lead incident reporting and investigations and coordinate corrective actions.
• Provide support and guidance to personnel across all sites with EHS.
• Collaborate with Chief Warden to ensure Emergency Response Plans are established and tested.
• Conduct internal EHS audits and facilitate external audits to maintain certification.
• Convene Safety Committee meetings and follow up on actions.
• Work with HR to manage workplace injuries and return-to-work processes.
• Coordinate hazard identification and site inspections and drive actions to closure.
• Prepare EHS reporting and track KPIs; recommend performance improvements.
• Develop and deliver EHS training including safety inductions.
