Job summary

Anduril Industries in Sydney is seeking a senior EHS professional to own the development, implementation and continuous improvement of EHS programs across a fast-moving manufacturing, test and field environment. You will partner with operations to keep people safe and ensure site compliance with NSW WHS Act and regulations.

You will lead investigations, manage high-risk operations, and drive environmental compliance while shaping change and training across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Safety/Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Progressive EHS experience in engineering, manufacturing, maritime, defence, aerospace, or other complex technical/industrial environments.
• Working knowledge of NSW WHS Act, Regulations, Codes of Practice, and Australian Standards.
• Ability to integrate hazard analysis and risk assessment with engineering and program decision-making.
• Ability to own programs and influence multidisciplinary teams without direct authority.
• Strong communication, facilitation and relationship-building skills; translate risk into business recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Own the site's EHS management system, programs, standards and risk framework; develop, implement, improve and scale them.
• Serve as the EHS interface to site leadership, operations, contractors, auditors and regulators.
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations with root cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
• Provide oversight for high-risk operations: lifting, electrical work, LOTO, battery systems, heavy equipment, offshore testing.
• Set EHS requirements for contractors, verify compliance and manage safety for visitors.
• Manage environmental compliance including waste, hazardous substances, spills; coordinate health surveillance.
• Provide EHS input into change management, new technology, and facility design.
• Develop and deliver training, inductions, toolbox talks and awareness programs.
