Job summary

Core Talent is seeking a hands-on WHSE Advisor to implement and drive health, safety and environmental standards at a major site in Cabramatta, Sydney. You will work with production leadership to ensure safe systems of work are understood and applied, identify risks, drive action plans and liaise with regulators.

This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining compliance and continual improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in WHSE roles within manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of WHSE legislation and ISO standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
  • Experience with environmental risk management and dangerous goods.
  • Certificate IV in WHS or higher.
  • Ability to balance hands-on safety with compliance and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Risk-based mindset with initiative and autonomy.

Responsibilities

  • Implement WHSE across a major manufacturing site, ensuring compliance.
  • Provide practical guidance to site teams and management.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and investigations.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies (EPA, SafeWork) for environmental reporting.
  • Drive action plans and ensure corrective actions are followed.
