Job summary

Guppy’s Early Learning Centre in Townsville is seeking a Senior Educator/2IC for a permanent part-time role. You will work with qualified early learning professionals to provide high-quality care and support children’s learning, with opportunities for leadership and professional development.

You will manage service operations in the absence of the Nominated Supervisor and contribute to planning and evaluating developmentally appropriate programs for groups of children.

Qualifications

• Hold or be studying a Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent.
• Current Blue Card.
• Current First Aid, CPR & Asthma qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management and administration in the absence of the Nominated Supervisor.
• Prepare, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs for individuals or groups.
• Lead and support professional development and training within the team.

Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable Senior Educator/2IC who wantsto join our supportive team at our Townsville centre's. In this role, you will work within our team ofqualified early learning professionals to providehigh-quality care for children, promote their learning and help them to develop key skills for the future. We are looking for a dedicated, driven individual to fill this permanent part-time position which will involve training and educational leadership opportunities.

In this position, you will be responsible for the overall management and administration of the service in the absence of the Nominated Supervisor including maintaining day-to-day accounts and administrative matters. In consultation with your Centre Director, you will also be responsible to prepare, implement, and evaluate adevelopmentally appropriate program for individual children or groups.

Skills and Experience

• Hold or be studying a Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent
• Current Blue Card
• Current (or ability to obtain) First Aid, CPR & Asthma qualifications
• Good understanding of the Early Years Quality Framework
• Good knowledge of the QLD Kindergarten curriculum and the current Regulation and Accreditation guidelines
