Job summary

Department of Education Barwon Downs is seeking a self-motivated Senior Support Officer to assist a small team delivering facilities and infrastructure services to government schools. You will help coordinate activities, track progress, and manage communications across the South-West region.

The role, based in Barwon Downs or other South-West offices, runs 04 January 2027 to 25 June 2027 and offers opportunities to work with senior officers while developing regional processes and risk

Qualifications

• Experience in coordination or project administration is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support and coordinate activities for the Unit and Manager, including meeting prep and record keeping.
• Track and report progress across projects and programs, including updating spreadsheets and databases.
• Provide thought leadership and identify emerging risks or issues from analysis.
• Coordinate school engagement activities as they relate to provision and planning.
• Identify and leverage opportunities to promote better and more systematic business processes within the team and consistent region-wide practices.
