Job summary

Jacobs in Sydney seeks a high-performing mid-level ecologist to join our NSW team. You will lead flora, fauna and habitat assessments, work with engineers and planners, and help shape projects from inception through delivery. The role involves travel for fieldwork and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in NSW ecology projects.
• Sound knowledge of NSW flora and legislation (EPBC Act, BC Act).
• Willingness to undertake travel for fieldwork.
• Strong report writing skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Current driver’s license and 4WD training (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Undertaking and leading flora, fauna and habitat assessments in line with EPBC Act and BC Act.
• Contributing to project opportunities, including writing proposals and client relationships.
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
• Contributing to a high performing NSW ecology team within Jacobs.
