Job summary

WSP Australia is seeking a Senior Ecologist to join the Sydney team, contributing to major infrastructure projects and biodiversity assessments. You will work with a national Ecology team in a hybrid role combining field, office and remote work to deliver nature-positive solutions.

Qualifications

• A degree in Environmental or Natural Science (ecology, botany, biology) is required.
• Consulting/advisory experience in ecological assessments across NSW bioregions is preferred.
• Field experience: flora and fauna surveys, monitoring, species identification.
• BAM Accreditation would be highly regarded.
• Knowledge of biodiversity legislation and policy relevant to EPA/BC Act.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ecological surveys and vegetation assessments using BAM.
• Contribute to project planning, deadlines and budgets.
• Build relationships with clients and colleagues; help develop project scopes.
• Prepare ecological assessment reports and vegetation data reports.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through memberships and workshops.
