Job summary
AECOM's environmental practice in Australia is seeking a senior ecologist to lead ecology surveys, assess ecological impacts, and help deliver multidisciplinary projects.
You will work with clients, teams, and regulators, coordinating fieldwork across Queensland and NT, with a focus on mitigation strategies, stakeholder engagement, and reporting.
Hybrid work options and ongoing professional development are available; willingness to travel and hold a valid driver's license is expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Ecology or related field.
- Experience leading ecology surveys and project delivery.
- Experience with environmental approvals and impact assessments.
Responsibilities
- Ecological impact assessment and offsetting for projects of varying scale.
- Plan, deliver and manage ecology surveys; analyze results and mitigation strategies.
- Provide risk-based client service with high-quality technical reports.
- Identify efficiencies and digital solutions to collaborate and work smarter.
- Support strategic growth, technical excellence, and innovation in ecological assessments.
- Assist with project management including technical and financial performance.
