Job summary

Ello Care on the Central Coast is looking for a compassionate Senior Support Worker to deliver person-centred supports in our SIL homes and community settings. You will work closely with the Area Manager to ensure safe, high-quality care and to help clients pursue independence and meaningful daily activity.

The role emphasizes documentation, escalation of risks, mentoring junior staff, and coordinating appointments while upholding Ello Care’s values of dignity, respect and choice for people

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with mental health or psychosocial disabilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong documentation and handover skills.
• Commitment to person-centred, trauma-informed support.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support with daily living activities and community participation.
• Support medication administration in line with plans and policy.
• Implement behaviour support plans and de-escalation strategies.
• Maintain accurate progress notes, incident reports and appointment records.
• Mentor and supervise junior staff to uphold service standards.
• Coordinate appointments and ensure safe, compliant operations.
