Manaaki Care in Newcastle, NSW, is seeking compassionate Disability Support Workers to assist participants in SIL homes and Community Access, ensuring safety and independence.

You will follow support plans, work as part of a team and independently, with a rotating 24/7 roster and at least one sleepover per week. The role requires 2 years SIL experience and checks (NDIS WWCC) plus First Aid/CPR.

Qualificações

• Minimum 2 years experience in SIL or relevant disability support.
• Experience supporting people with complex needs, psychosocial disability, mental health, trauma and/or complex behaviours.
• A genuine commitment to person-centred support.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A calm, resilient and practical approach.
• Good judgement, initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Professional boundaries and respect for participant dignity.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Working With Children Check, where applicable.
• Current First Aid & CPR.

Responsabilidades

• Daily routines, household tasks and personal care.
• Community access, appointments and activities.
• Supporting participant goals and independence.
• Emotional and behavioural support.
• Following support plans, procedures and documentation requirements.
• Contributing to the smooth running of the home.
• Work a minimum of one sleepover shift per week.
• Work across a rotating 24/7 roster.
• Work across SIL and Community Access supports.
