Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in Australia is seeking a Senior Director to lead the Forensic Technology Services (FTS) team across Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. You will shape strategy, manage the most complex engagements and build trusted relationships with clients and counsel.

You will mentor Directors and Managers, originate new opportunities, oversee quality and governance, and collaborate with cross‑practice teams to deliver integrated solutions for disputes, investigations and cyber risk.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in digital forensics, eDiscovery, cybersecurity, incident response or forensic data analytics in a client-facing services context.
• Proven track record of leading large engagements and teams with senior client stakeholders and legal counsel.
• Strong business development capability to originate and win work.
• Deep understanding of EDRM and best practice in forensic collection, analysis and review.
• Familiarity with eDiscovery platforms and forensic tool suites.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree or demonstrable equivalent experience in related field.
• Relevant industry certifications (SANS, EnCE, CFCE, CCE, GFCE, CISSP) are highly regarded.
• Willingness to travel as client and business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and practice leadership for the Australia FTS practice across Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
• Lead and oversee complex forensic technology, digital forensics and eDiscovery engagements.
• Advise senior client stakeholders and legal counsel on data handling and evidence protection.
• Originate and pursue new opportunities, lead proposals and build client relationships.
• Set standards for technical quality, methodology and governance across engagements.
• Take accountability for engagement quality, risk management and commercial performance.
• Partner with colleagues to deliver integrated solutions across disputes, investigations and cyber risk.
• Mentor and develop Directors, Managers and team members; support recruitment and retention.
