Job summary

Optus is seeking a seasoned Senior Director, Enterprise Risk Management to own the Risk Management Approach, Framework, and Appetite, shaping how the organisation understands material risks and sets risk appetite. You will lead the three lines model and drive enterprise-wide risk assessments across functions, reporting insights up to Executive management and the Board.

This role offers high visibility at senior levels, with focus on risk culture, escalation of threats and measurable risk

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years' experience in enterprise risk management, non-financial risk or risk transformation within highly regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously enhance Optus' enterprise risk management approach, ensuring it remains effective and fit for purpose.
• Own the enterprise Risk Appetite Statement, including key risk indicators and escalation triggers.
• Own the Three Lines model and ensure independence, oversight and assurance operate effectively.
• Maintain and evolve the enterprise risk profile, taxonomy and register with a clear view of material and emerging risks.
• Drive enterprise-wide risk assessments, scenario analysis and risk aggregation to inform strategic decisions.
• Lead risk assessment methodology and ratings systems with cross-functional partners.
• Coordinate risk culture initiatives and leadership expectations to improve risk ownership.
• Establish emerging risk processes and ensure consistent assessment, reporting and remediation across the business.
