Job summary

Paxus is partnering with a large Federal Government program to engage an experienced Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer to help modernise and operate critical cloud platforms and DevSecOps capabilities supporting enterprise data and analytics environments.

You’ll work closely with delivery teams to provide and support secure, scalable environments with automation, self-service, and strong DevSecOps practices. Hybrid Canberra-based role with on-site requirements.

Qualifications

• Senior DevOps/Cloud Engineer with Azure and hybrid environments.
• Strong IaC skills with Terraform/Bicep/ARM.
• Proven delivery of secure-by-design cloud solutions (DevSecOps).
• Experience with monitoring, incident resolution and runbooks/documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and support secure, scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Manage Azure and hybrid cloud environments to standards.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep/ARM).
• Design/implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Embed DevSecOps controls across delivery lifecycle.
• Handle cloud networking, IAM, encryption, monitoring, logging.
• Optimise availability, performance, resilience and cost.
• Troubleshoot complex infra/ops issues.
• Lead reviews and knowledge transfer.
