Informatech Pty Ltd partners with a major Federal Government program delivering large-scale cloud transformation and application modernisation. We seek a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a high‑performing technical team responsible for secure, automated and scalable cloud platforms within a Microsoft Azure environment.

You will design, implement and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines, IaC and DevSecOps capabilities, collaborating with cloud engineers, developers, architects and cyber security

Qualifications

• Strong DevOps experience in enterprise or government environments.
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling.
• Knowledge of cloud IaC and security practices.

Responsibilities

We are partnering with a major Federal Government program delivering large-scale cloud transformation and application modernisation initiatives. This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join a high‑performing technical team responsible for building secure, automated and scalable cloud platforms within a Microsoft Azure environment.

The Opportunity

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and DevSecOps capabilities that enable rapid, reliable and compliant software delivery. Working alongside cloud engineers, developers, architects and cyber security specialists, you will help modernise critical government systems while driving automation and engineering best practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using modern cloud automation practices.
• Embed security, compliance and quality controls into automated delivery pipelines.
• Build and maintain deployment, testing and release automation across multiple environments.
• Support application migration and cloud modernisation initiatives.
• Monitor deployment performance, pipeline health and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot complex build, deployment and environment issues.
• Contribute to engineering standards, reusable templates and platform automation capabilities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure, scalable and resilient cloud solutions.

About You

You will bring strong DevOps engineering experience within complex enterprise or government environments, along with a passion for automation and continuous improvement.

Ideally, you'll have experience with:

• Azure DevOps, Git, YAML Pipelines and CI/CD automation
• PowerShell and Azure CLI
• Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, Terraform or ARM Templates
• DevSecOps, Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC and Azure Policy
• Agile delivery methodologies and modern software engineering practices
• Secure cloud environments aligned to ASD ISM, Essential Eight or Zero Trust principles (highly regarded)
