Job summary

Data#3 in Canberra is seeking 2 x Senior Cloud Engineers to join a high-performing team delivering modern cloud solutions within a large-scale enterprise environment. You will design, build and support secure, scalable Azure-based infrastructure, automation, and platform solutions while promoting best-practice cloud engineering and DevOps.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering enterprise Azure-based solutions.
• Strong scripting and automation capabilities.
• Certifications in Cloud, DevOps, or Security preferred; government sector experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of Azure cloud solutions
• Deliver Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using modern automation frameworks
• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Build clean, maintainable, scalable, and testable code
• Participate in architecture, design, and planning workshops
• Develop and maintain technical documentation throughout the development lifecycle
• Provide technical leadership and cloud expertise to project teams
• Support the adoption of cloud operational, security, and governance best practices
• Extensive experience delivering enterprise solutions within Microsoft Azure
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, or similar technologies
• Proven experience designing and implementing Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
• Strong scripting and automation capabilities using PowerShell, Python, C#, or Shell scripting
• Deep understanding of Azure networking, storage, compute, and identity services
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience with Git and source control practices
• Test automation development and implementation
• Azure PaaS provisioning and management
• Cloud infrastructure provisioning through automation and IaC
• Relevant Cloud, DevOps, or Security certifications
• Previous experience within the Australian Government sector
