Job summary

Halcyon Knights is seeking two Senior DevOps Engineers to support a Fed Gov client, delivering cloud and data infrastructure with hybrid work options. You will drive DevOps practices, IaC (Terraform) and modernise cloud environments across AWS and/or Azure, while mentoring teams in an Agile setting.

Ideal candidates bring EL1-level expertise, strong scripting (Python/JS/Golang), and hands-on Kubernetes and Docker mastery to enable secure, scalable delivery and stakeholder collaboration at senior

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing and managing scalable AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Proven ability to establish DevOps practices and continuous delivery pipelines with GitLab, Artifactory and Jira.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform.
• Proficiency with Git and Agile development methodologies.
• Coding ability in Python, JavaScript and Golang for supporting cloud workloads.
• Strong Docker and Kubernetes experience for container orchestration.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and stakeholder engagement in Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy and support cloud and data infrastructure across AWS and/or Azure.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Prioritise technical work queues to ensure timely delivery of initiatives.
• Implement IaC solutions and adhere to integration best practices.
• Develop and maintain code across Python, JavaScript and Golang.
• Lead technical activities within Agile project teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Provide guidance to senior leadership on complex technical issues.
• Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
