Job summary

Fortis, part of the Pallas Group, is seeking a Senior Development Manager to lead major projects across the Australian Eastern Seaboard and New Zealand from our Sydney team.

You'll oversee the full development lifecycle, from acquisition and feasibility through planning, design, procurement, construction and completion, while partnering with the investment team and delivering value across a diverse portfolio.

Qualifications

• Degree in Property, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or Planning.
• 10+ years in development or project management within property.
• Experience delivering hotel development projects is essential.
• Strong commercial, financial and feasibility analysis skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• NZ project experience is favourable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects across the full development lifecycle, from acquisition through completion.
• Lead programmes, budgets, cash flows, forecasts, risk management and delivery outcomes.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and quality.
• Support acquisition opportunities, due diligence and development feasibilities.
• Coordinate architects, planners, engineers, contractors and consultants.
• Develop and oversee procurement strategies, tenders and contracts.
• Identify and manage commercial, planning and construction risks.
• Support funding, governance and reporting to senior management and investors.
• Build and maintain relationships with investors, JV partners and regulators.
