Job summary
Central Highlands Regional Council in Emerald is seeking a Senior Development Compliance Officer to lead investigations, assessments and inspections within the planning and building framework. You will work closely with the Coordinator Development & Planning and drive compliance activities while delivering clear documentation and outcomes.
The role requires a degree in Building, Compliance or Urban and Regional Planning, plus relevant certificates and licences.
Qualifications
- Degree in Building, Compliance, Urban and Regional Planning or related discipline.
- Pool Safety certificate (or ability to obtain).
- General Construction Induction Carrd (or ability to obtain prior to commencement).
- Queensland C class provisional drivers licence.
Responsibilities
- Lead investigations, assessments, inspections and compliance activities.
- Coordinate with the Coordinator Development & Planning on enforcement actions.
- Prepare documentation and act as a witness for enforcement in courts.
- Develop, implement and monitor policies to meet council goals.
- Deliver high-level customer service and manage competing priorities.
