Job summary

Constructability Recruitment is seeking a Senior Head of Design, Estimating & Business Development in Sydney to lead and shape our design, estimating and BD functions. You will work directly with the Managing Director to set growth strategy and secure major tenders end-to-end, building strong relationships with builders, developers and consultants.

You will mentor a two-person Design & Estimating team, oversee electrical design for compliance and value, and ensure margins are protected while

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in electrical contracting and construction in the commercial and fit-out space.
• Strong electrical trade and/or engineering background.
• Extensive estimating and tendering experience, including team leadership.
• Strong commercial acumen and business development track record.
• Confidence with complex drawings, specs and contracts.
• NSW electrical licensing and relevant qualifications highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead Design, Estimating and Business Development, partnering with the MD on growth strategy.
• Lead a two-person Design & Estimating team and manage major tenders end-to-end.
• Build relationships with builders, developers and consultants to generate opportunities.
• Oversee electrical design for compliance, buildability and value.
• Protect margins and report on tender performance and profitability.
