Qualifikationen

• Certificate III in Dental Assisting is mandatory for this role.
• Working with Children Check is required prior to appointment.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or National Police Certificate required (not older than 3 years).

• Probation period may apply.
• Vaccination/immunity evidence may be required (Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, TB).

Based in Mount Isa, you'll help deliver safe, high-quality and patient-centred care to communities across the North West, both in clinic settings and through outreach services to regional and remote locations.

• Lead and support the Dental Assistant workforce through mentoring, workforce coordination, rostering, recruitment and professional development.
• Coordinate key operational functions including outreach planning, travel arrangements, procurement, inventory management and locum administration.
• Provide advanced clinical dental assisting services, including chairside support, radiography, patient care coordination and participation in outreach programs.

Requirements

• Possession of a Certificate III in Dental Assisting from a registered training organisation (RTO) or other recognised tertiary institution is mandatory for this role.
• Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 require Queensland Health to seek a 'working with children check' from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position.
• This role is defined as an Aged Care Worker (risk-assessed role) with regular / ongoing direct contact with older persons and/or significant influence over aged care service delivery under the Aged Care Act 2024. It is therefore a requirement of this role that the person is assessed for and meets suitability to fulfil a risk-assessed role and have a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or a current National Police Certificate (not older than 3 years). Queensland Health will facilitate applicants who do not hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance to obtain a National Police Certificate.
• Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
• This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
• A period of probation may apply.
