Job summary

Moody's is seeking an Associate Director/Director of Sales for Data Solutions in Sydney to drive revenue growth with Tier 1 financial institutions across Oceania. You will originate, manage, and close large, multi-year deals, building senior-level relationships and leading complex sales cycles.

The role emphasizes selling data, analytics, and AI solutions, with a focus on credible governance of AI and responsible adoption, in a fast‑paced, global risk management environment.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of enterprise sales experience within Financial Services, Risk Management, Financial Information, Data, Analytics, or Tech solutions.
• Proven success selling to Tier 1 banks, insurers, asset managers, and other large financial institutions across Australia and New Zealand.
• Strong understanding of Credit risk data, Ratings, Credit Research, data & AI Solutions.
• Experience selling data and AI Solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to originate, manage, and close large, multi-year strategic sales opportunities.
• Executive presence to influence with C-suite and senior leaders.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management in a client-centric environment.
• Leadership in managing AI-related risks and fostering responsible AI adoption.

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth across Tier 1 Financial Institutions by acquiring new business and expanding strategic client relationships across Oceania.
• Identify, develop, and close strategic new business opportunities across major banks, insurers, asset managers, and financial institutions.
• Manage and expand a portfolio of strategic accounts through cross-sell and upsell initiatives to drive revenue growth.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior executives, including Heads of Risk, Credit, Data, Technology, and AI functions.
• Position Ratings, Research Data, Credit Risk, Analytics, and AI solutions to address client challenges and transformation goals.
• Develop and execute account plans and sales strategies to achieve annual targets.
• Lead complex enterprise sales cycles including stakeholder engagement, negotiations, and contracts.
• Collaborate with Relationship Management, Product Specialists, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to deliver outcomes.
