AGL Energy in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Data Product & Governance Analyst to own the data product and governance operating model across the business. You will coordinate data owners, stewards and IT teams to ensure clear ownership, testing and lifecycle management of data products.

You will translate business needs into clear data requirements, conduct user research to uncover gaps, and help shape Databricks data products that balance usability, quality and governance.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in data science, information systems, engineering or related field.
• SQL literacy and experience with Databricks.
• Experience in data governance, data product management, and data stewardship.

Responsabilités

• Own and evolve the data product and governance operating model, establishing clear ownership and decision pathways.
• Coordinate data owner and steward reviews, sign-off and user acceptance testing.
• Lead triage of data quality issues, clarifying impacts, priorities and accountability.
• Communicate changes and upstream data issues with impacts, workarounds and resolution progress.
• Analyze data product usage to understand adoption and evolving business needs.
• Translate business needs into clear requirements for data owners and developers.
• Help shape Databricks data products that balance usability, reuse, governance and lifecycle ownership.
