Job summary

AGL is recruiting a Senior Data Product & Governance Analyst in Melbourne (Docklands). You will own the data product and governance operating model, coordinating data owners, stewards, and testers to ensure clear ownership and robust processes.

You will lead data quality issue triage, communicate impacts, and translate business needs into actionable requirements for data owners and developers, shaping Databricks data products across the business.

Qualifications

• Degree in data science, information systems, engineering or related field.
• SQL literacy and Databricks experience preferred.
• Experience in data governance, data product management, or related disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the data product and governance operating model with clear ownership.
• Coordinate data owner reviews, sign-offs and user acceptance testing.
• Lead triage of data quality issues and align priorities.
• Communicate changes and upstream data issues with impacts and resolutions.
• Translate business needs into clear data requirements for owners and developers.
• Help shape Databricks data products balancing usability, governance and lifecycle ownership.
