Job summary

Sigma Healthcare is strengthening its data governance capabilities to ensure trusted, secure and compliant data across the organisation. The Senior Data Governance Analyst will implement the governance framework, enforce standards and work with data owners, stewards and security teams to improve data quality and risk controls.

Reporting to the Data Governance Manager, you will help embed governance across business units, monitor KPIs, and enable responsible AI use while enabling confident

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in data-related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in data governance, information management or related technology role.
• Working knowledge of data privacy legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience in healthcare industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in development, implementation and refinement of the Sigma Data Governance Framework.
• Develop data governance artefacts such as standards, policies, risk definitions, controls and procedures.
• Implement data governance processes and lead change management across business units.
• Ensure compliance with the Australian Privacy Act, ACCC regulations and other standards.
• Develop and track metrics to assess effectiveness of data governance initiatives.
• Partner with information security to control and audit data access.
• Drive engagement in data literacy programs and community forums for governance principles.
• Provide input for updates or enhancements of data policies.
• Support evolution of AI governance capabilities enabling responsible data use.
• Create reports and dashboards to monitor Data Governance KPIs for the financial year.
• Maintain data governance tools and records including metadata, CDEs, risks and controls.
