Job summary

eHealth NSW, the digital arm of NSW Health, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and build scalable data products using Snowflake, AWS and Iceberg. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, data scientists and analysts to transform healthcare data into actionable insights.

You will deliver production-grade pipelines, apply security-focused patterns and optimise performance at scale, while contributing to modern analytics platforms across NSW Health.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience delivering outcomes in large, complex engineering environments.
• Production-grade data pipelines on cloud platforms (Snowflake or AWS).
• Python mastery with packaging, modular design and async processing.

Responsibilities

• Design production-grade data pipelines using Snowflake, AWS and Iceberg formats.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, analysts and scientists on large datasets.
• Follow coding standards, QA practices and secure architectural patterns.
