Job summary

Launch Recruitment Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a growing IT team in a large enterprise. You will drive the design, build, and optimisation of an Enterprise Data Warehouse, leveraging Snowflake, DBT and SQL to deliver scalable data solutions for analytics and decision-making.

This role sits in a claims-focused transformation, with greenfield initiatives to migrate data pipelines, model data, and enable analytics for business users, in an Azure/AWS environment, aligned with

Qualifications

7-8+ years' experience in data engineering or data warehousing roles.
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, DBT, and SQL (essential).
Experience with DataOps/DevOps practices, ideally within an Azure environment.
Proven experience in data modelling and enterprise data warehouse design.
End-to-end data warehousing (ETL/ELT, modelling, analytics enablement).
Experience with SQL-based data tools and modern data platforms.
Exposure to AWS is beneficial.
Background in insurance or claims data is preferred.
Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data warehouse solutions.
Develop and optimise data models to support analytics and reporting use cases.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver high-quality data.
Contribute to DataOps/DevOps practices, including PRs, deployments, and CI/CD.
Support and improve existing data pipelines and warehouse structures.
Work in an agile delivery environment to deliver incremental value.
