Job summary

LTM Australia is seeking a Senior Data Architect to provide strategic and architectural leadership across a modern enterprise data environment. This senior role demands a technology-agnostic data professional who defines and governs architecture across complex environments.

Ideally you will have strong knowledge of Lakehouse architectures with exposure to Databricks, Snowflake and/ or Microsoft Purview. The focus is on architecture, governance, data lineage and taxonomy rather than hands-on

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Senior Data Architect / Enterprise Data Architect / Lead Data Architect.
• Strong understanding of modern enterprise data architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Lakehouse architecture and modern cloud data platforms.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake and/or Microsoft Purview.
• Strong understanding of data lineage, metadata and data taxonomy.
• Experience developing enterprise data models and information architectures.
• Strong understanding of data governance and data management principles.
• Ability to design technology-agnostic architectures and select appropriate platforms based on business needs.
• Experience working across complex enterprise technology environments.
• Strong understanding of data integration, data platforms, analytics and information flows.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Proven ability to operate at an enterprise architecture and strategic level.
• Strong leadership and influencing capability.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead enterprise data architecture across business and technology domains.
• Develop target-state data architectures aligned to business strategy and technology roadmaps.
• Design modern data platforms incorporating Lakehouse and cloud data architecture principles.
• Provide architectural guidance across Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Purview and related data technologies.
• Establish and maintain data architecture principles, standards and patterns.
• Define approaches for data lineage, metadata management, data classification and data governance.
• Develop and maintain enterprise data models, taxonomies and information architecture.
• Work with data engineering, analytics, security and application architecture teams to ensure consistency across the data landscape.
• Assess existing data environments and develop pragmatic roadmaps for modernisation.
• Provide architectural oversight across data platform, integration and analytical initiatives.
• Ensure data architecture supports scalability, security, quality, discoverability and reuse.Define architectural standards and provide governance across delivery teams.
• Evaluate emerging data technologies and recommend appropriate solutions based on business requirements.
• Communicate complex architectural concepts to senior technology and business stakeholders.
• Mentor and provide architectural guidance to data engineers, architects and delivery teams.

Senior Data Architect

LTM Australia is seeking a Senior Data Architect to provide strategic and architectural leadership across a modern enterprise data environment.

This is a senior architecture role requiring a technology-agnostic data professional who can define and govern data architecture across complex environments.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of modern Lakehouse architectures, with experience or exposure to platforms such as Databricks, Microsoft Purview and/or Snowflake.

While hands-on technical capability is valuable, this role is primarily focused on architecture, strategy, governance, data lineage and taxonomy. The successful candidate does not need to be hands-on across every technology but must have the architectural depth to make sound technology and design decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead enterprise data architecture across business and technology domains.
