Job summary

Compas Pty Ltd in Canberra, ACT, is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join a Federal Government Department on a long‑term engagement. The role will focus on analysing business needs, documenting functional and technical requirements, mapping data and system interactions, and supporting delivery of enhanced data, analytics and integration capabilities.

Initial contract till June 2027 with potential extensions. Baseline Clearance or the ability to obtain one quickly. ACT only.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in SQL.
• Experience analysing business processes, data flows and system integrations.

Responsibilities

• Analysing business processes, systems, data flows and operational requirements to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
• Eliciting, documenting and validating business, functional and non-functional requirements through engagement with business and technical stakeholders.
• Developing business process maps, workflow diagrams, use cases, user stories and other analysis artefacts to support project delivery.
• Analysing data from multiple sources to identify trends, issues, risks and opportunities that support informed decision-making.
