Job summary

MuraConnect is partnering with a Brisbane-based organisation to identify a Senior Data/AI Architect to support the build of its Intelligence Technology data and analytics platform. This initial contract runs until 26 February 2027, with a planned extension through end-February 2028.

You will shape the target-state data architecture from data acquisition through reporting, analytics and AI. The role covers modern data platform design, Azure data services and AI/advanced analytics, with leadership

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in Data/Information Architecture or Enterprise Architecture.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud/analytics solutions.
• Strong background with Microsoft Azure and related data services.

Responsibilities

• Owning target-state data architecture across acquisition, ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, intelligence, reporting, analytics and AI capabilities.
• Designing and governing modern data platform architectures including Data Lakehouse, Medallion Architecture, Data Mesh, ODS and analytical data assets.
• Leading AI and advanced analytics architecture activities including ML, generative AI and predictive analytics.
• Developing data models, governance frameworks and technical patterns for enterprise intelligence.
• Providing architecture leadership for Azure data services including storage, processing, analytics, governance, monitoring and security.

MuraConnect is partnering with a Brisbane-based organisation to identify a Senior Data Architect to support the build of its Intelligence Technology data and analytics platform. This is an initial contract until 26 February 2027, with a planned extension through to the end of February 2028. You will shape the target-state data architecture for the organisation's intelligence capability, from data acquisition through to reporting, analytics and AI. The work covers modern data platform design, AI and advanced analytics, and Azure data services.

The Role

As the Senior Data/AI Architect, you will be responsible for leading the architecture and design of the Intelligence Technology data and analytics platform, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles and business outcomes, including:

• Owning the target-state data architecture across acquisition, ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, intelligence, reporting, analytics and AI capabilities
• Designing and governing modern data platform architectures, including Data Lakehouse, Medallion Architecture, Data Mesh principles, operational data stores and analytical data assets
• Leading AI and advanced analytics architecture activities, identifying opportunities for machine learning, generative AI, predictive analytics and intelligent automation
• Developing data models, architecture standards, governance frameworks and technical patterns to support enterprise-wide intelligence capabilities
• Providing architecture leadership for Azure data services, including storage, processing, analytics, governance, monitoring and security

About You

To be successful, you will be a senior Data, Information or Enterprise Architect with a track record of delivering enterprise-scale data and analytics solutions on Microsoft Azure.

You will bring:

• 10+ years' experience in Data/Information Architecture or Enterprise Architecture
• Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud, analytics, intelligence, digital transformation or business application solutions
• Ideally, a strong technical background across Microsoft Azure, ADF, Fabric, Power BI, Azure Data Lakes, Purview, Data Services and other Microsoft technologies
