Job summary

J.P. Morgan in Australia is seeking a Vice President, Coverage Banker to lead a portfolio of ASX Top 300 clients from the new Perth office, with a strong focus on Natural Resources.

As a senior banker you will originate opportunities, deepen relationships and coordinate with product and investment banking partners to deliver integrated financing, risk management and markets solutions. You will help establish JPMorgan’s presence in Western Australia through collaboration with national teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years’ corporate banking experience with Natural Resources coverage.
• Proven ability to originate and manage senior client relationships.
• Experience structuring and executing leveraged loans in M&A, IPOs or related transactions.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Natural Resources sector and financing needs.

Responsibilities

• Originate and manage a portfolio of 25–30 ASX Top 300-listed clients with a focus on Natural Resources.
• Leverage sector knowledge to identify new business opportunities and strengthen JPMorgan’s corporate banking presence in Western Australia.
• Formulate portfolio coverage strategy, sector priorities and product focus for the Australian market.
• Develop and implement account plans coordinating with product and investment banking partners to execute cross-sell strategies.
• Lead credit-related work streams and facilitate approvals through governance and control committees.
• Conduct sector analyses to identify needs addressable by JPMorgan’s corporate banking solutions including financing, markets, risk management, and treasury services.
• Play a key role in establishing and growing the Perth office’s corporate banking presence in collaboration with Australia-wide teams.
