BaptistCare NSW & ACT is seeking a Senior Counsellor to deliver high-quality therapeutic support to individuals and families affected by domestic, family and sexual violence across Newcastle and Central Coast. The role emphasises trauma-informed approaches, risk assessment and safety planning, with collaboration across services to enhance client outcomes.

Applicants should have a relevant tertiary qualification and experience in DFSV, with the ability to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering trauma-informed counselling to DFSV clients.
• Strong risk assessment and safety planning skills.
• Ability to travel across Newcastle and the Central Coast.
• Driver's licence required.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic counselling to individuals and families affected by DFSV.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans.
• Collaborate with internal teams, community services and external stakeholders.
• Support recovery and wellbeing using evidence-based approaches.
